We do not tolerate anything less than the best treatment for residents. All types of exploitation, discrimination or inappropriate behaviour are not tolerated at Thistleton Lodge and all staff are fully aware of the correct way to approach all situations and the repercussions of working to anything below our incredibly high standards.
Support Residents Needs
We can support all kinds of residents with different needs and abilities. We can provide all manner of mobility chairs and walking aids to our residents to help them stay as independent as possible for as long as possible. It is our aim to provide the best support possible for all residents. We try and ensure that either our staff or an advocate of the resident will be involved with any decision making processes. We find that this can make it easier for the resident when it comes to things such as will writing services and healthcare treatment.
Provide Clean & Comfortable Accommodation
We aim to provide comfortable living for residents. All rooms come with luxury bedding and textiles, however, this can be swapped for personal possessions as sometimes this can make the relocation a little easier for new residents. Certain items in the room will not be able to be removed or replaced, such as beds and furniture, if you have any questions about this, please ask. As well as this, our lodge is professionally cleaned weekly to help ensure high standards are met.We also provide Hassle free storage solutions for our residents at reasonable rates.
Help Out as Much as We Can
If you or your loved one needs anything, please don’t hesitate to ask. We can give advice and point you in the right direction and give you a helping hand when it comes to many issues you may face during the moving process. There are some parts of the moving process that people don’t consider, such as storage of belongs, but we have provided all the help that you need to help make sure everything goes off without a hitch. We also help make sure that new residents feel welcome and ready to move to our Lodge.
Confidentiality
We provide confidentiality in all matters relating to resident’s affairs. The only time information will be shared is if we believe the resident is a danger to themselves or someone else. However, information of this nature will only be shared with designated members of the immediate family and if needed – healthcare professionals.
Enjoy and Access Community Activities
